10.33 Ac Imogene Rd, Ouray, CO 81427

Property Description

This is a dream Ouray County high mountain property, located right on one of the best known Jeep trails in the San Juans. It's located just across the bridge that crosses Sneffels Creek on the way up to Yankee Boy Basin. From the bridge the property begins 0.4 of a mile down the road, which is rough and roudy and what you'd expect! What makes this mining claim stand out is accessibility. So many claims are appealing, yet lack of legal access makes dependable long term access questionable. In this case you have a Ouray County road going right through the property. From roughly May 15 through November 15 you've got the ability to come and go using whatever vehicle works best for you and the ones you love. Keep going up the road through Imogene Basin, which hangs above the Famous Camp Bird Mine and cross over to the famous ski town of Telluride using the old stage coach route. Elevation is 10,500 ft. Yet the mountains still tower above, and the parcel's main core is relatively level, with sections that head toward the NW and SE on either end. The trees are healthy and a beautiful mix of spruce, firs and pines. This is the fabled Caledonia Mining Claims, and mining claims extend to the center of the earth! So even unique aspects such as the ability to go down or back into the hillside gives interesting building and structural opportunities. Many would see this as a staging spot for outdoor recreation-both relaxed and extreme. Bring your camping equipment-your RV-put up a yurt or wall tent or even put up structures like a cabin or shop/storage building. Picking your plan for enjoying your new land in the San Juan Mountains is going to be fun! Come see the Caledonia Claim today!
